The Troubled Motion Picture Home Gets A Little Help From Its Friends in Hollywood - Oct. 5th fundraiser planned

Beverly Hills- The Board of Directors of the Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF) is committed to closing the entertainment community’s historic nursing home and hospital in Woodland Hills, CA. The impending closure displaces Hollywood’s most frail and vulnerable residents from their campus home in the Long Term Care facility.
’1 Voice’ is a celebrity-packed evening to raise industry and community awareness of the residents’ plight.

NEO Ensemble Theatre, is sharing an evening of all-star entertainment in support of the efforts of Saving the Lives Of Our Own, the advocacy group dedicated to keeping the residents in the Motion Picture Home and to preserving the MPTF’s historic mission and promise of “taking care of our own” to all entertainment industry workers.

Legendary Hollywood Publicist Julian Myers showing his Amingo Day cufflinks at a breast cancer charity in Hollywood.Myers, a staunch supporter of the MO-PIC TV Fund Home said, "It would be a tragedy to close any of the long term care services, and displace our fellow artists who have brought us entertainment for decades. They deserve more," he said.
Neo Ensemble Theatre, a Los Angeles based non-profit theater company, is  producing “1 Voice, an Evening of Monologues, Music and Memories”, on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 7:30 pmat theRenberg Theater at the Village, 1125 N. McCadden Place in Hollywood, CA 90038.
The evening will include scheduled performances and appearances byRichard Dreyfuss, John Schneider, Lorenzo Lamas, Kathryn Joosten,(Desperate Housewives) Gloria Loring, Esai Morales, Oscar winner George Chakiris, Dawn Wells( Gilligan’s Island),and Renee Taylor & Joseph Bologna. Also appearing are Shirley Jones & Marty Ingels, Bill Smitrovitch(The Event), Connie Stevens, Lou Ferrigno, Jerry Douglas and Kate Linder of Young & the Restless, James Intveld(Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry), Ben Henry(Survivor Nicaragua), George Barris, Nic Novicki(Boardwalk Empire), cast members of NBC’s The EventYoung and the RestlessBold & The Beautiful, and members of the Neo Ensemble Theatre. Celebrity appearances are subject to change due to artists’ schedules and availability. Additional celebrities will be announced-ongoing both appearing and performing.
