'Good Job, Thanks!" - Comedy TV Web Series wins “Best Director Award” at LA Film, TV and Webisode Festival - LATWF Opens Tonight

 "Good Job, Thanks!" (GJT) , a star-studded, dark comedy, TV web series, about what it's like to be a Hollywood casting director, has won “Best Director” award for Episode 5 from the LA Film, TV & Webisode Festival (LAFTWF). The winning entry, "Workshop Nightmare"  takes a comical poke at the controversial showbiz issue of casting directors charging money for actors to meet them at "workshops". It stars Renee Pezzotta (Chihuahua: The Movie (2010), John Boonin and a whacky cast of actors.

            “We are so proud of our cast and crew, and episode five takes home the ‘Best Director’ award this year,” said Creator Ryan Glasgow, Bohemia Entertainment. When asked about how he came up with the idea, he responded this way, “We’ve all heard a thousand times, ‘Good Job, Thanks!’.  When Actress Stephanie Jones read the line my head exploded and then we raised the money to shoot the pilot,” he said.


            “I had no idea I would star in this great TV series,” said lead Actress Stephanie Jones at a red carpet launch of Status LA Magazine event at the Supper Club, Hollywood. “I went home after my acting class, and I got a message in my inbox saying, ‘here’s your next role,’” she said.

            "Good Job, Thanks!" (GJT) ,series stars Stephanie Jones as casting director Linda Livingston-Black, and includes guest stars: Jonathan Bennett, Renee Pezzotta, William Belli, Sandy Martin, Joy Osmanski, Kirstin Vangsness, Rick Overton, Tere Joyce, Michael Fishman, and Mo Gaffney.

            “I was very lucky I got invited to work with the ‘Good Job Thanks!’  family and now we’re picking up an award for the fifth episode that I directed, “said Alex Bram, director, Panic Attack Films, Hollywood.  Bram, who has earned numerous awards for the horror film, “Body of Work” (2009), also heads The Carnival of Darkness Horror Sci-Fi Short Film Festival 3, which is scheduled for Oct. 24, 2012, at the LA Film School. LA.

            The GJT pilot episode stars Jonathan Bennet (Mean Girls (2004), Divorce Invitation, 2012) Catalina Cache, 2013); Willam Belli, (American Wedding, Bloodrayne: The Third Reich (2010); In episode # 2 Scott Chesak, who’s on tour playing keyboards and singing back up vocals with the internationally famous, “The All American Rejects” makes a cameo appearance.

             In Episode # 3 Napoleon Dynamite’s Sandy Martin (Speed, Marley & Me) is introduced. Martin also appears in episode #4 and before that was in four HBO season’s of the hit show “Big Love”.  In episode #6 Actress Kirsten Vangsness, (TV’s Criminal Minds) stars, along with Joy Osmanski, (NBC, Next Caller Please, Fall, 2012), (Fire Up, 2009). 

Osmanski and Martin return for episode #8. In “Good Job, Thanks!” episode #7 Rick Overton, (Groundhog Day, Cloverfield, 2008) plays a “Celebrity”. In episodes 8-9 (two part season, one finale), Mo Gaffney, (BBC’s Absolutely Fabulous, God Bless America, 2011). Other guests expected in season two: Michael Fishman, Roseanne) and Tere Joyce, Last Comic Standing).
