Actress Alexis Rhee To Attend 83rd Annual Academy Awards Pre-Party and Red Carpet Cancer Benefit Event

the Red Carpet Wednesday, Feb. 23rd

 Los Angeles, CA – Feb. 22, 2011 – 
Award-winning Actress Alexis Rhee  
will be among Hollywood Stars 
walking the red carpet at the Breast 
Cancer Awareness Pre-Oscar Party, 
Wednesday, February 23, 2011. 
The Beverly Hills event takes place at Gonpachi Japanese Restaurant
 (134 N. La Cienega Blvd.), hosted by David Harrison Levi.  

               “Breast cancer is one of the most common
 cancers  among women in the United States,” said 
Actress Rhee. 
“I take part in activities that benefit and help raise 
awareness for breast cancer, because it is a good cause 
that impacts so many lives.  We need more events like
 this one, where we are celebrating the Oscars and 
we’re connecting people to breast cancer awareness.”
            Actress Alexis Rhee, whose long list of film
credits include the blockbuster Oscar-winning  

Crash (2004); On the Rocks (2006),  Norbit (2007) 
and The Things We Carry (2009), and hit TV shows 
such as Lost, ER and Gilmore Girls to name a few,
is also an accomplished violinist.
               Levi is a Beverly Hills philanthropist, 
whose sister died of  breast cancer. His lifelong mission 
is to bring awareness to breast cancer in Hollywood 
and nationally. Levi holds breast cancer 
awareness events at least once a month and capitalizes 
on high profile activities to bring attention to his goal.
 “My mission is simple,” said David Harrison Levi. 
“I want to see an end to cancer as I’m tired 
of and saddened by the loss of so many beautiful 
friends and family members. Early detection is the key
 to saving lives.”
               Although the jury is still out on the Oscars race, Rhee 
expects to see a lot of surprises at the Academy Awards ceremony 
this weekend. “There are quite of few surprises in this year’s 
nominees for the 83rd Academy Awards,” said Rhee. “Like everyone 
else, I have my favorites. And the Golden Globe winners gave us a 
sneak peak of the stiff competition, too. My congratulations to 
everyone nominated, because they’re all winners in my book.”
            Rhee starred as Kim Lee in the Oscar winning film Crash, 
starred as Geisha #1 in the film Blade Runner, and starred as Mrs. 
Wong, wife of Eddie Murphy's character Mr. Wong, in the film Norbit. 
She also guest- starred in the season 13 episode "Heart of the Matter" 
of the TV show ER. Rhee is currently audition for several TV and 
movie roles and is putting finishing touches a screenplay for a film 
about a Jazz Pianist. 
            The 83rd Academy Awards will be held on February 27, 2011
This year's Best Picture nominees, in alphabetical order, are "Black Swan," 
"The Fighter," "Inception," "The Kids Are All Right," "The King's Speech," 
"127 Hours," "The Social Network," "Toy Story 3," "True Grit" and
"Winter's Bone”.  The Best Animated Feature Film category includes  
"How to Train Your Dragon," "The Illusionist" and "Toy Story 3."
