The Actress, who won a SAG Award for “Outstanding Performance by a Cast Member” for her work in the movie CRASH (2004) has just been cast in MATA LEAO - THE LION KILLER
Los Angeles, CA – March 07, 2011 – Award-winning Actress Alexis Rhee
(CRASH, 2004) will be among celebrities and Hollywood executives attending the
6th Annual Beverly Hills Shorts (film) Festival March 11 -13, 2011, Raleigh Studios,
one of the first and the largest independent studio operator in the country.
“I’m looking forward to attending the premiere of the movie, ‘The Agency,’
written and directed by Sam Schectman,” said Actress Alexis Rhee, who won a
SAG Award for the blockbuster film, CRASH in 2004. “I’m also looking forward
to networking and seeing friends from the film industry at the Beverly Hills Shorts
event.”
The Agency is a comedy tale of a man, adopted into a Korean family,
who struggles to reconcile with human connection in a world of boundless and
inexplicable technology. The premiere starts at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12th,
in the Wilshire Screening Room, 8670 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 112, Beverly Hills, CA
Rhee has recently been cast to costar in a new movie,
MATA LEAO: THE LION KILLER, which begins filming in a few weeks.
She will be acting opposite Graham Beckel (L.A. Confidental, Brokeback Mountain)
and Joanna Sotomura (Madison County), in MATA LEAO: THE LION KILLER.

Actress Alexis Rhee, whose long list of film credits include the
blockbuster Oscar-winning Crash (2004); On the Rocks (2006), Norbit (2007)
and The Things We Carry (2009), and hit TV shows such as Lost, ER and
Gilmore Girls to name a few, is also an accomplished violinist. And she has
been asked to compose music and the song for the
MATA LEAO: THE LION KILLER.
Rhee starred as Kim Lee in the Oscar winning film Crash,
starred as Geisha #1 in the film Blade Runner, and starred as Mrs.
Ling Ling Wong, wife of Eddie Murphy's character Mr. Wong, in the
film Norbit. She also guest- starred in the season 13 episode
"Heart of the Matter" of the TV show ER. Rhee is currently
auditioning for several TV and movie roles and is putting finishing
touches on her own original dramatic screenplay about a Jazz Pianist.
