The famous Key Club on Sunset Boulevard will come alive with dozens of musicians and bands for the 2012 Artist in Music Awards. And one nominee - Kristen Faulconer - up for "Best Independent Rock Artist" and "Best Pop Artist" is the the one to watch. She has a passion for her music, and a passion to help others overcome abuse in their lives. She has been there and done that, and now through her music hopes to move others in the right direction.

Faulconer’s music is about empowering and uplifting people. “I am an abuse survivor, and I wrote many of my songs about the abuse I endured and also my struggles with being adopted,” said Faulconer. “Now that I am rehabilitated, my mission is to use my music to inspire and help people in the same situation, as well as those who are dealing with any struggles in their lives.” MAYO Communications is no stranger to rising music artists and celebrity events.
